New Bjork. New Chuck. New mish-mash of it all.

I've got a little bit of everything to report in our absence over the weekend:

Chuck Palahniuk is set to release his new book, Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey, on May 1st.
It wouldn't be a Palahniuk book if it didn't have some oddities and gore - Buster Casey is a now dead serial murderer and this book recounts his life through stories told by families, friends and enemies who survive him. Expect a bit of humor sprinkled throughout the haunting themes that usually trail in Palahniuk's novels.

Go here. to find more information about Chuck Palahniuk's tour to support the book and how to pre-order the book from Amazon, Powell's and Barnes and Noble.

Bjork's single, Earth Intruders, from her newest release, Volta, will be available for digital download today. Volta is set to be released May 8th. Here is a sample found with the help of both Stereogum and Spinner.

The (predominantly) Athens, GA group, Summerbirds in the Cellar, will be headed out on tour this spring.
These guys went on tour with Now It's Overhead last summer and I'd highly recommend going to a show if they are in your area. You'll be sorry you missed out. Check out their latest release, with the hands of the hunter it all becomes dead, produced by Andy LeMaster of NIO. You could also check them out on their myspace page.

Bjork always looks hotter in her album covers than in videos.
