New things for tomorrow:

Tommorrow Bright Eyes' new CD, Cassadaga will be available for public consumption.

And you know? I've had this album for about 3 weeks or so now. And, no, not a leak. The actual album, casing and leaflet and all...and I have honestly not listened to it once. Why, you ask? I have no clue. I guess after I received the promotional copy of the Four Winds EP I wanted nothing to do with Bright Eyes anymore. I know it sounds harsh, but to me it just seemed too much, too predictable, too overdone and almost boring. Nothing at all stuck out. However, after hearing what all the other music bloggers (ew) have had to say...I'm intrigued by Cassadaga. I guess I have to listen to it tonight and I'll give you an opinion later...

Also to be released tomorrow?
The quirky, fun and oh-so-unpredictable Danielson Famile DVD featuring some Sufjan Stevens in the mix. Danielson: a Family Move {or make a joyful noise HERE} is a documentary that has been "in the making" for years now (including 2003's Cornerstone festival, when I was a wee little lass and saw them there) and features the then unbeknownst to the indie rock world, Sufjan Stevens. Interesting...count me in.

-----------------------------------------

The alleged "nicest guy in music, indie rock, rock and roll", John Vanderslice, has begun his Spring 2007 tour. Along for the ride is Ms. Annie Clark (member of Polyphonic Spree as well as a guitarist for Sufjan Stevens' (2 mentions in one posting, congratulations, Sufjan) touring band) to help promote her upcoming album Marry Me.
